IQ/OQ Validation for Software

Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) for software is designed to provide absolute assurance that your software is correctly installed and properly communicating with peripheral instrumentation. It also confirms that all functionality works as intended by the manufacturer. The results of the IQ/OQ are fully documented, which satisfy government and internal laboratory requirements (e.g., FDA).

One of our degreed chemists will perform IQ/OQ of software packages on-site at your facility, and the installation of the actual software must take place at this time. The software IQ documents the computer hardware/operating system, and it checks the installation of the application and its basic accessibility. It also documents the instrumentation controlled by the software and checks basic communication with the instruments. OQ for software includes testing of configuration menus, method development, instrument control and data transfer. It also tests all user administration settings, security settings, audit trails and data integrity/security.
