Metrohm®
Coulometric Karl Fischer Titrators®
Quality management with Metrohm
KF coulometers allow complete and clear documentation of all determinations performed.
The result report complies with GLP, and it includes the serial number of the instrument, software
version, date, user name and method used.
Metrohm coulometers come with built-in tools to protect the integrity of your data.
One of the two RS-232C ports can be used to connect a balance to automatically transfer sample weights
and eliminate manual data entry on the keypad, thus preventing errors. The coulometer can also prompt
you for sample weight and/or sample identification before each titration to ensure that all critical
information about the sample is recorded. If you preset the limits for the sample size and/or the
result, a warning is shown on the screen and in the report if one of these values lies outside the
set limits.
Service or validation intervals alert you to perform the necessary tests. The KF reagent
can be monitored with regard to the number of determinations carried out, its useful lifespan, drift
value or capacity. When the reagent is exhausted and has to be exchanged, the coulometer prompts you
to take action.
To further protect the integrity of your results, use the keyboard lock function to
selectively lock buttons on the keypad. For example, lock the <<parameters>>, <<save
method>> and <<delete method>> functions to allow operation of the instrumentation
while securing the coulometer methods.
GLP and ISO 9000 functions include:
- Servicing and validation intervals
- GLP report options
- GLP methods for instrument validation
- A diagnostic report each time the coulometer is switched on
- Clearly marked recalculated results
- Programmable upper limits for content and reagent consumption during automated analysis
