Touch Control
Titrando’s large, color Touch Control allows you to easily view items such
as color graphs and calibration history in tabular form. Its simple, intuitive style even makes
navigating Titrando quick and simple: There are large touch screen buttons as well as fixed buttons
to instantly access «Start», «Stop», «Home Page», «Back»,
«Print», «Help», and «Manual Control».
Practicality is an important instrument feature, which is why the Touch Control
has been designed to control up to three Titrandos. Did we mention space-saving? When not in use—or
if you are short on bench space—hang the Touch Control on a wall via an optional holder.
And save your data on a data card—eliminating the need for PC storage. The Touch Control
is chemical resistant thanks to a protective transparency that can easily be exchanged, if needed.
In fact, the PC data card, which also doubles as an individual user keycard, is inserted into the
back of the Touch Control, where a cover protects it from accidental spillage. |
Prefer PC control? Titrando can also be controlled directly from a PC—without
the need for the Touch Control—using Metrohm Tiamo™ titration software. Take advantage
of the extra storage capacity afforded by a PC. Click here

Data management is knowledge management
For data storage and transfer, Titrando is a state-of-the-art instrument:
- Data from Titrando can be printed out directly to a USB-connected printer
- Data (and methods!) can be stored directly on a PC data card
- Titrando can also send a machine-readable report directly to LIMS
Regardless of the type of data storage and retrieval chosen, all information regarding
the system’s hardware connections and the method parameters is stored with each individual analysis.
Have you ever wanted to export data directly to your LIMS system without the need
for a PC? Metrohm® 825 Lab Link allows you to do just that by connecting
directly to an Ethernet port. It opens up internal networks (Intranet, LIMS, LAN) to Titrando and
makes it Internet-compatible. It also allows you to download methods from a website directly to Titrando,
so you can share methods throughout your company. Tools such as NuGenesis®
Scientific Data Management System, eRecordManager, and CyberLAB™ can be used for long-term storage—without
connection to a local PC.
On-line help—searching through a manual is
a thing of the past
Now the answers to your questions are right at your fingertips with the Touch Control’s
permanent «Help» button. It provides full text information and guidance for the active
screen. If Titrando senses an error anywhere in the system, a full text error message is displayed
along with a suggested corrective action.

Quick access
The new Direct Parameters function simplifies changing critical settings and parameters—they
are now accessible from one page. The Direct Parameters function is invaluable for routine analysis
because it allows direct access of the parameters most frequently used for a given method—eliminating
the need to access multiple menus to change critical settings and parameters.
Routine Dialog mode, another useful function for routine analyses, can be customized
to limit access to only the operations necessary for day-to-day use. For truly individual customization,
you can load individual profiles from a personal keycard and view only those operating elements that
are needed. You can revert back to the Expert Dialog mode at any time to view all parameters for full
control.

The Titrando system is modular for maximum flexibility. |
Modular means expandable, upgradable, adaptable
The possibilities for upgrading Titrando are nothing short of amazing, and its
“plug and play” simplicity is your lab dream come true. The modular design allows you
to expand the system as you need it. Metrohm devices (stirrers, sample changers, etc.) and their
serial numbers are recognized through Titrando’s four unique MSB ports. Other peripheral
devices (balance, printer, etc.) are connected through Titrando’s two USB ports. This means
that the dialog between the instruments can start immediately—without having to first configure
any settings.
|
The following instruments and accessories can be connected directly to Titrando:
- Metrohm 801 Magnetic Stirrer, 802 Rod Stirrer, and the associated 804 Titration Stand
- Metrohm 805 Dosimat and 800 Dosino® dosing devices (up to 4 per
Titrando)
- Metrohm 825 Lab Link to open up Titrando to internal networks (LIMS, Intranet) and the Internet
- A differential amplifier to provide a low-noise measuring signal for nonaqueous titrations
- All Titrandos have two USB interfaces for connecting peripheral devices that have a USB interface,
e.g., for connecting a sample processor, color printer, balance, PC keyboard, or barcode reader
- A commercially available USB hub for connecting more than two USB devices
