Maximum Bubble Pressure Tensiomenter MPT-2
The Lauda MPT-2 determines the dynamic surface tension of solutions at
surface ages from a few milliseconds to several seconds, and investigates
adsorption mechanisms of surfactants and surfactant mixtures in the millisecond
range.
Applications
- Formulation of agricultural spray solutions for optimum aerosol production
- Development of photographic emulsions
- Control of plating bath solutions
Features
- Precisely measures bubble formation time and actual maximum bubble
pressure to determine the surface life and effective surface age
- Bubble detection performed by a sensor which is separated from pressure
transducerallows the use of narrow capillaries (0.075 mm radius)
needed for very short surface age determinations
- Calculates the life of the hemispheric surface or effective
age using critical point, known bubble volume, and
surface life of the whole bubble
- Quantitative evaluation of the measurement data
Computer Control of Each Measurement
- Entire measurement process is computer controlled using Microsoft®
Windows®-based software
- Different measurement methods and flow rates can be selected
- A complete dynamic curve can be obtained in a few minutes or up to
two hours, depending on the para-meters used for measurement
- Data output options:
- All measurement data can be printed as graphs or tables
- Data can be exported to other programs
- Up to five measurement curves can be superimposed and processed
simultaneously
