Brinkmann^® Reagents And Standards

Brinkmann offers titration reagents (titrants) certified against National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST) primary standards. Brinkmann does not standardize against another reagent that has itself been standardized. The reagents are assayed using only traceable NIST Standard Reference Material.

Features

Certification

• Each case contains a certificate of analysis documenting the assay, including all relevant titration data
• Assays are performed by potentiometric, inflection point seeking titration
• No color indicators or titrate are used to a set pH
• Lot certification—involves the random selection of five bottles, and the performance of a potentiometric titration directly against NIST Standard Reference Material. The reported certified values are the mean of the five random samples, and the reported uncertainty of the certified value is estimated as 2s/sqrt.(n).
• Solutions are homogeneous at the 95% confidence level—verified by the analysis of five random samples tested in duplicate
• Certification and validation procedures consistent with ISO Guide 35 and Brinkmann/Metrohm Application Bulletin Number 206
