POLYTRON^® homogenizers provide fast, reproducible homogenization, emulsion, dispersion and mixing with sample-to-sample uniformity. The POLYTRON system combines a powerful, durable motor drive with a large selection of general purpose and application-specific generators of the highest quality.

The key to homogenization is in the quality of the generator where sample breakdown occurs. POLYTRON generators work via the rotor/stator system: samples are drawn into the center of the generator tip, are vigorously mixed, accelerated and pressed through the narrow gap between the rotor and stator, and finally forced out between the teeth of the stator; saw-teeth generators facilitate processing of difficult samples. Foam-reducing features reduce air intake.

Each POLYTRON generator rotor and stator is cut from a solid block of 316 L stainless steel. The result is a stronger, thicker walled stator tube which prevents deforming and extends generator lifetime. Meticulous control of tolerances ensures the smallest, most uniform rotor-stator gap for maximum shear force and reproducible particle yield.
