Heidolph® LABOROTA Vacuum Pumps

Rotary evaporators require a reliable vacuum source to optimize distillation. Heidolph vacuum pumps offer high suction capacity for fast evacuation and distillation rates. They can be used with the VAC control automatic vacuum controller, which allows for automated distillations and even better control of volatile solvent distillations.

Valve control

Designed for all LABOROTA rotary evaporators with the capacity to hold vacuum on up to three rotary evaporators simultaneously, the vacuum pump valve control offers a high suction capacity of 1.7 m3/h (28 L/min), for the fastest evacuation rates, and achieves an ultimate vacuum of 9 mbar—efficiency at its best!

Product features of Valve control

  • Two-stage diaphragm pump made from chemically resistant PTFE materials
  • Significant noise and vibration reduction
  • When using any Heidolph Collegiate®, Efficient or Digital model with a VAC control automatic, along with the valve control pump, a vacuum valve is required (Catalog number 036302930)
  • When using any Heidolph control model evaporator with the Valve control pump, a vacuum valve, VAC senso T and a T(auto) sensor are required
  • May be combined with a secondary condenser (Catalog number 036302950) for trapping solvents and vapors

Vario control

For adjustable speed, precise vacuum control. Designed for rotary evaporators LABOROTA Models 4002/4003 Control, the Vario control vacuum pump has a high suction capacity of 1.5 m3/h (24 L/min) for the fastest evacuation rates, achieving the highest distillation rates possible while reducing process time by 30%. The adjustable speed of the pump produces the most precise vacuum control for all your distillation needs.

Product features of Vario control

  • Three-stage diaphragm pump is made from chemically resistant PTFE materials
  • Achieves an ultimate vacuum of 2 mbar for demanding solvent distillations
  • Improved solvent recovery up to 100% as a result of stable, reproducible distillation conditions
  • Includes power supply, vacuum sensor and valves
  • When used with Models 4002/4003 series evaporators, T(auto) sensor purchase is required
  • Vario control may be combined with a condensate cooler (Catalog number 036302960) for trapping solvents and vapors

Vacuum accessories

Vacuum controller VAC control automatic

Control your house vacuum or any other vacuum source with the VAC control automatic. Featuring three displays for actual, set vacuum and operating modes, as well as a process timer that allows for unattended operations, the VAC control automatic is the perfect accessory for your Heidolph evaporator. With the addition of the VAC control automatic vacuum controller, you will be able to perform automated distillations and better control volatile solvent distillations.

Product features of VAC control automatic

  • Features three displays for actual, set vacuum and operating modes
  • Reduces pressure during distillation and helps to control volatile solvent distillations and bumping
  • May be integrated onto the top of the lift column of the Heidolph rotary evaporator
  • Includes vacuum sensor and valve
  • Automatically finds required vacuum and holds vacuum constant for duration of distillation

control automatic

VAC senso T

The VAC senso T is required for LABOROTA 4002/4003 Control models when used with valve-regulated pumps or your house vacuum source. It controls the vacuum with an accuracy of ± 0.5%, offering results you can trust and added protection from flash boiling and bumping.

Product features of VAC senso T

  • Includes power supply for vacuum valve, vacuum sensor and vent valve
  • Opens vacuum valve at the end of the application and aerates the system
  • May be used with the Switchbox and vacuum valve, if required
  • Space-saving design attaches to the rotary evaporator at the rear side of the heating bath for easy integration
  • All components in contact with vapor are made of chemically resistant PTFE and PVDF
  • Not required for rpm-regulated vacuum pump, Vario control

VAC sensor T

Switchbox

Designed for all LABOROTA models, the Switchbox allows you to connect up to three rotary evaporators to a single vacuum pump or house vacuum source while controlling vacuum individually on each rotary evaporator.

Product features of Switchbox

  • Pump switches off automatically at required vacuum
  • Reduces energy consumption of pump and increases pump performance life
  • Individual vacuum valve and check valve are required for every evaporator if you work with different pressures at the same time

Switchbox

Vacuum valve

The vacuum valve is required for any LABOROTA evaporator model when attempting to control vacuum from any valve-regulated pump or house vacuum source.

Product features of Vacuum Valve

  • External construction designed for easy cleaning
  • Can be combined with the Woulff Bottle for a complete system
  • Additional trapping of solvent and vapors when used in conjunction with the Woulff Bottle to protect vacuum solenoid valve and vacuum pump
  • Not required for rpm-regulated vacuum pump, Vario control

Woulff Bottle

An optional accessory, the Woulff Bottle protects the vacuum solenoid valve and the vacuum pump from overexposure to harmful solvents and vapors.

Product features of Woulff Bottle

  • Can be easily integrated and attached to the evaporator
  • Direct connection to the vacuum valve
  • Features connection to vacuum controller
  • 250 ml of solvent reservoir for collecting solvents
