There are many benefits of utilizing our rotary evaporators, which have been designed with safety and user friendliness in mind. For protection against splashing water and steam, the operating panel is located below the bath, and a drip shield protects you and the control panel from spills. The heating bath features non-slip handles for safe and easy transport of the bath, and individual power switches for the control panel and the heating bath offer additional safeguards. For your convenience, the angle of the evaporation flask can be quickly adjusted from 10° to 85° to accommodate various flask sizes and bump trap adapters, and the non-sticking vapor tube can be easily removed, eliminating broken glass and maintenance hassles. The LABOROTA 4000 series offers protection and simplicity.

Safety features

• 4.3 L heating bath is constructed of an insulated double wall for protection against burns and scalding
• No exposed heating coils inside the easy-to-clean heating bath—protects against burns
• Adjustable sliding safety shield always aligns with the bath and protects you in the event of implosion
• Safety shield provides easy and immediate access to evaporating flask and bath
• Optional bath extension kit allows the bath to slide horizontally up to 210 mm (8.3") from standard position to accommodate a 3 L flask and bump trap (without extension, the bath slides only 80 mm (3.1")
• Choice of up to five different condenser sets, all of which are available with STJ 24/40 or 29/32
• Plastic safety coating (Surlyn^®-coated) is optional
