Metrohm®
797 VA Computrace for trace analysis and metal speciation
MVA systems are based on the Metrohm 797 VA Computrace for classic voltammetric trace analysis.
MVA-1

The MVA-1 is Metrohm’s basic voltammetry system that is completely PC-controlled with high
sensitivity and all voltammetric measuring techniques. It is designed for quantitative analysis in
routine and research labs. Any substance that can be determined by voltammetry can be analyzed using
the MVA-1. The system consists of the 797 VA Computrace (comprises instrument, PC software version
1.0, Multi Mode Electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode, and Pt auxiliary electrode).
MVA-2

The MVA-2 is an easy-to-use semiautomatic VA system for routine voltammetric trace analysis. Two
auxiliary solutions, such as a standard and an electrolyte, can be added automatically into the measuring
vessel with the sample being handled manually.
The MVA-2 consists of the 797 VA Computrace (comprises instrument, PC software version 1.0, Multi
Mode Electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode, and Pt auxiliary electrode) with two Metrohm 800 Dosinos®
with 2 ml and 5 ml dosing units that are used for the addition of the solution and controlled by the
797 VA Computrace software.
MVA-3

A fully automated voltammetry system with computer control of VA trace analysis, the MVA-3 can
analyze up to 18 samples, with the determinations evaluated and stored automatically. This system
is the optimum solution for automatic analysis of small series of samples, which have to be analyzed
for a single parameter or two parameters in one run.
The 797 VA Computrace software controls the entire analysis procedure. The samples are placed on
the rack of the Metrohm 813 Compact Autosampler, all other operations are done automatically: transfer
of the samples into the measuring vessel, voltammetric analysis with automatic standard addition using
two Metrohm 800 Dosinos and automatic rinsing with two peristaltic 772 Pump Units.
The MVA-3 consists of the 797 VA Computrace (comprises instrument, PC software version 1.0, Multi
Mode Electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode, and Pt auxiliary electrode) with two 800 Dosinos with
2 ml and 5 ml dosing units, the 813 Compact Autosampler and automatic rinsing system and two peristaltic
772 Pump Units.
